Rehearsal Period: Early August to November. 1 weekday evening and 2 weekend daytime rehearsals until mid to late September, at which point we will ramp up to 4 rehearsals per week - 2 weekday evening & 2 daytime weekend rehearsals.

Please note that all cast will be required for Tech rehearsal on November 2nd and Dress Rehearsal from November 3rd - 6th inclusive.

About the Play:

Kill Local is a dark comedy about Sheila, a disillusioned assassin who has lost her passion for murder. Raised in a family of contract killers, Sheila once took pride in her work—but now, her growing conscience and professional mistakes threaten not just her livelihood, but her life. As Sheila grapples with the morality of her profession and the weight of familial loyalty, she is forced to confront the line between justice and revenge.
Featuring sharp wit, twisted humor, and complex relationships, Kill Local explores what happens when killing becomes just another job—and quitting isn't an option.
This piece explores family dynamics and when or if it’s ok to walk away from the ties that bind us.

Characters:

Todd (Early 30s): Ruthless property developer with a multitude of enemies and perhaps just a little remorse

Sheila (Early 30s): Disillusioned assassin. Capable and matter of fact, but struggling with maintaining her passion for the kill

Abigail (late 20s): Sheila's sister and handler. Usually office based but gets pulled into the events of the day

Gloria (Early 50s +): The girls' mother. Stern, unflinching and manipulative

Ami (17): Seemingly innocent and naive but there is something lurking under the surface

I am looking for actors with a strong physicality and stamina to maintain high energy performances whilst demonstrating a wide emotional range. Particularly interested in dynamic performers who enjoy a collaborative process.
