Acting from my truth with Stephanie Prieto (Actress, drama teacher and theatrical creator)
3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 March
Thanks to influences of techniques such as Improvisation with Ariane Mnouchkine, repetition with Grotowsky, Lecoq, Vivi Tellas, Peter Brook, Documentary Theatre, Biodrama, Physical Theatre, Roy Hart.
These classes will focus on the wonder of discovering physical and vocal work in the service of spontaneous creation and improvisation, building a character from our biographies and writings, beginners and advanced are welcome.
In these 4 classes we will work on the musicality of the body as a rhythmic tool, linking with the environment from our personal sounds and the preparation of mologues or duologues prior to the creation of a joint staging.
We invite you to participate in a fun, safe and warm space for creation
4 .. 3 .. 2 .. 1! with Andrew Allen
7, 14, 21 & 28 April
Using both established scripts, and creating devised work, we will be looking at scenes that involve four actors, then three, followed by duologues, and then finally in Week Four, monologues. But whether it’s a group of characters on stage or a solo performer - no actor is ever on their own, and this series of workshops seeks to provide each individual with a performers’ toolbox of skills bound together by kindness and active listening.
These workshops are facilitated by Andrew Allen, co-founder of Ironclad Creative and writer/director of YEAR WITHOUT SUMMER, FOUR PLAY, ONE WOMAN ALIEN, ANTIGONISH and more.
